It is with heavy heart that I begin to comprehend the passing of a great friend and a great American: Karen Haight Huntsman.

Her life’s work benefited multitudes. It reflected her character, integrity, faith in God, family and an unconquerable work ethic. All of which she had in great abundance.

Karen and her husband Jon were the perfect team in marriage and business. My wife Ghazaleh and I were privileged to call them our friends over the past decades.

In my capacity as a board member of the Maliheh Free Clinic, I wish to express our deep appreciation for Karen and the Huntsman family’s deep commitment to our clinic and community. Karen’s concern and empathy for the underserved and vulnerable in our community was exemplary.

The people whose health and lives were graced by her care and philanthropy celebrate her life and applaud her memory as God sent.
