Sources revealed that Swift’s team booked Madison Square Garden in New York City for the big event for July 3 and July 4.
The wedding will likely take place at the iconic music and sports arena Friday night, a law enforcement official “briefed on the security plans” told The Associated Press.
According to AP News, “In recent days, crews have been unloading equipment from trucks outside the Manhattan arena. A large carpet was briefly unveiled outside one entrance and then promptly removed.”

Some Swifties believe the Madison Square Garden details could be a decoy, leaving them to get married this weekend somewhere more private.

Equipment and packages have been transported into the venue shrouded in plastic and packing blankets, leading many to speculate what the containers could be hiding. Some have been discovered to contain “tree decorations and boxes of lobster,” according to The New York Times.

“This is going to be an absolute, spectacular blowout,” People Magazine editor-in-chief Charlotte Triggs told CBS Mornings. “According to a source, it doesn’t look at all the same inside. They’ve completely transformed it.”
Another source told People: “Not a castle but it looks very special. They have grass, carpets and canopies, and it looks like a place where you’d get married. There’s a stage set up, but it’s special.”
Players for the Kansas City Chiefs football team have booked rooms at the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square, and major A-list celebrities connected to Swift have already been spotted in the city, The Times reported.
Here’s a timeline of the expected events, according to different sources:
- Thursday night: A rehearsal dinner will take place with around 100 guests in attendance held at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, CNN reported.
- Friday: The wedding will happen around 5:30, with a reception to follow. Approximately 1,000 guests are expected to attend, with about 500 vehicles transporting them in and dropping them off, per CNN.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate $26 million to charities across the U.S.
The couple donated $26 million (Swift’s lucky number times two) to charities across the United States earlier this week, many of which are located in New York City.
There are 20 charities the celebrity pair donated to, including nine food banks, an animal cruelty organization, seven educational programs and three children’s hospitals, Variety reported.
The announcement about the charitable donations came directly from Swift’s publicist. The philanthropic efforts echo Swift’s past charitable efforts — each stop during The Eras Tour, Swift would donate millions to food banks in the cities she was performing in.
