Former Fremont High and BYU guard Dallin Hall is returning to his home state for his final season of college basketball, but it won’t be with the Cougars.

Hall announced Saturday on social media that he will play the 2026-27 season with the Utah State Aggies.

The 6-foot-4, 197-pound Hall was thought to have run out of eligibility after playing last season at Virginia but recently became eligible for one more campaign and entered the transfer portal earlier this week.
After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California, Hall played three seasons at BYU before transferring to Virginia.

With the Cavaliers last season, he started all 36 of the team’s games and averaged 5.9 points, a team-high 4.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game as Virginia earned a 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Should Hall end up starting at Utah State, he would help form a dynamic backcourt with fellow Beehive State native Mason Falslev as the Aggies enter the new-look Pac-12 Conference under first-year head coach Ben Jacobson.
