On September 9, Delta Center (and Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth) owner Ryan Smith noted on X that the building “is coming back online in October!” following a busy summer of renovations to its interior that will continue next summer.

While the new-look Delta Center held its first official event of the fall on Saturday as the Mammoth beat the Colorado Avalanche in NHL preseason action, things will really get going at the building once the calendar flips to October on Thursday.
In fact, things will be starting off with a bang, as October is currently slated to be the busiest month for the Delta Center through at least the middle of next April, although the Mammoth and Jazz — the building’s main tenants — are expecting to have playoff runs that will lengthen their seasons a few weeks at minimum.
Here’s a look at all of the events that will be happening at the Delta Center in October, according to the calendar on its website.
- October 1: Utah Mammoth vs. Chicago Blackhawks (regular season opener).
- October 2: Carin Leon concert.
- October 3: UFC 332.
- October 6: Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets (preseason).
- October 9: Garth Brooks concert.
- October 10: Garth Brooks concert.
- October 12: Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs (preseason).
- October 13: Utah Mammoth vs. Toronto Maple Leafs.
- October 14: Disney concert.
- October 15: Kacey Musgraves concert.
- October 17: Utah Mammoth vs. Edmonton Oilers.
- October 19: Utah Mammoth vs. Pittsburgh Penguins.
- October 20: Gorillaz concert.
- October 21: Phoebe Bridgers concert.
- October 23: Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Pelicans (regular season home opener).
- October 24: Utah Mammoth vs. Tampa Bay Lightning.
- October 25: Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers.
- October 26: Utah Jazz vs. Memphis Grizzlies.

Not only will the days be full, but there will be plenty of times in which arena crews will have to transition the main area from some combination of a basketball court to a hockey rink to some other type of stage.

Things get going quickly on that front, as it will go from hockey to basketball to UFC on the first three days of the month. In the four days from the 12th to the 15th, there will be a Jazz game, followed by a Mammoth game, followed by a Disney event followed by an individual artist concert.
From the 23rd to the 31st, there will be an event at the Delta Center every single night, and only on the 25th and 26th when there are two consecutive Jazz games will there be the same thing happening on two straight nights.
While there could be alterations to the Delta Center schedule in the coming months, particular when April arrives as previously mentioned, October is indeed primed to be the busiest month at the building through early next spring.
There are 23 events on the schedule for November, 10 in December, 18 in January, 12 in February, 12 in March and eight in April (through the 9th of the month).
