But when it came time to sing, she did a complete 180. <\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAGT\u201d judges and audience appeared shocked as they heard the young singer belt out strong, mature vocals that belied her age. <\/p>\n<p>As the teenager performed, judge Sofia Vergara expressed an interest in pushing her golden buzzer. But Cowell ended up beating her to it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWords aren\u2019t necessary,\u201d Cowell said as he pushed his golden buzzer following the performance.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/americanmovershub.com\/?p=1043\">Who is Todd Blanche and why might he face a tough confirmation to be U.S. attorney general?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As gold confetti swirled around Noelle, Cowell leaned in toward Vergara: \u201cThis girl is amazing,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<div>\n<div>Related<\/div>\n<div>After \u2018America\u2019s Got Talent,\u2019 this Utah singer rebranded herself \u2014 with help from Air Supply<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ahead of Noelle\u2019s audition airing, Cowell spoke with reporters and had high praise for the singer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought every part of that audition was about as good as you\u2019re gonna get,\u201d he said during a virtual press conference. \u201cAnd bearing in mind how young she is. I mean, that voice &#8230; it reminded me when I very, very first did \u2018Idol\u2019 (\u2019American Idol\u2019) years ago, we used to get those singers with those big voices. She reminded me of those days \u2014 very, very rare to find someone like that today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a moment where I thought, \u2018Is that actually you singing?\u2019 he continued. \u201dI mean, she really, really is up there. One of the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>The best part of \u2018AGT,\u2019 according to Simon Cowell<\/h3>\n<p>Even as \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d is in its 21st season, the thrill of a surprising and successful audition like Noelle\u2019s doesn\u2019t get old for Cowell. <\/p>\n<p>A show like \u201cAGT,\u201d he said, can act as a sort of career launchpad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI genuinely believe that these shows, they have to have a purpose,\u201d he said. \u201cIt puts you on the ladder, so to speak. So if you do a great audition or a great live show performance &#8230; I\u2019ve seen it happen so many times now, a massive, massive knockout effect in terms of their careers, their lives, their confidence.
