The two new quarterbacks for the Las Vegas Raiders recently bonded over the best \u201cStar Wars\u201d film, their favorite football play and … a love of Donny Osmond. <\/p>\n

Kirk Cousins, Fernando Mendoza shout out Donny Osmond<\/h3>\n

The Raiders released their 2026\u201327 season schedule with a video that shows NFL veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins and rookie Fernando Mendoza becoming best friends while parodying the 2008 film \u201cStep Brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taking on a mentor role for Mendoza, the future face of the franchise, Cousins shows the rookie the lay of the land and provides a little tour of the locker room.<\/p>\n

Standing at his locker, Cousins dramatically reveals \u201cthe most prized possession\u201d from his 15-year NFL career. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a signed sword from Las Vegas\u2019 own Donny Osmond,\u201d he says solemnly. <\/p>\n

The video, which was released last week and has more than 3 million views on X, got a shoutout from Osmond himself.<\/p>\n

Osmond previously made an appearance at the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas and made a lighthearted pitch to join the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m actually going for the draft,\u201d Osmond told Los Angeles magazine at the time. \u201cFor the Raiders. They\u2019re going to sign me, and not as a safety, but as a singer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI did just get the award for best residency and best entertainer in Las Vegas, so if that carries any weight, I should be part of the Raiders,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

What else is Donny Osmond up to? <\/h3>\n

The longtime entertainer continues his solo residency at Harrah\u2019s, a 90-minute whirlwind show that travels through the different eras of his six-decade career. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery night for the audience, five nights a week, I define who I am,\u201d he told the Deseret News in a 2024 interview. \u201cWho I was, who I am, and who I am now.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a couple of weeks, Osmond will wrap the show up for a summer break. In late June, he\u2019ll appear as a guest artist for the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square\u2019s benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, as the Deseret News reported. <\/p>\n

He\u2019ll return to the Vegas stage at the start of September. <\/p>\n

The \u201cPuppy Love\u201d singer also just announced 2027 tour dates for the U.K. throughout January and February. <\/p>\n
