Apart from her writing, Picoult is also known for her work with organizations like PEN America as an advocate for the freedom to read. <\/p>\n<p>The festival, which will be held at The Gateway in Salt Lake City on Oct. 17, will feature a variety of events, including author conversations, panel discussions, book signings, and a market for books, art and food, per its website. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to Picoult, authors Mathilda Zeller, Nghi Vo and Brian Laidlaw will also attend the festival, with more authors and events expected to be announced at a later date. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/americanmovershub.com\/?p=2866\">Benson Boone will perform in Utah after all \u2014 and he just released a new song<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are really excited about the inaugural Salt Lake Book Festival,\u201d said Kase Johnstun, director of Utah Center for the Book, in the press release. \u201cWith its central location, open spaces, and big-name authors, it\u2019s going to be a lovely day for books and book people alike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Utah Center for the Book is affiliated with the nonprofit group Utah Humanities, which hosts the Utah Humanities Book Festival across the state each year. Beginning in 1998 as The Great Salt Lake Book Festival, it has since become Utah\u2019s largest \u2014 and oldest \u2014 book festival, partnering with libraries, bookstores and organizations across the state. <\/p>\n<div>\n<div>Related<\/div>\n<div>A Utah book festival lost funding due to DOGE cuts.
