The movie is also meant to set up the events of \u201cAvengers: Secret Wars,\u201d which will be released on Dec. 27, 2027, per ABC News. <\/p>\n<p>The first full trailer for the highly anticipated movie is jam-packed with characters and action. It also gives fans the first glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. \u2014 who previously played Iron Man in the MCU \u2014 in his new role as the villain Doctor Doom. <\/p>\n<p>Doctor Doom is shown facing off against Chris Hemsworth\u2019s Thor in battle; Downey\u2019s Doom is wearing a mask in all of the footage.<\/p>\n<p>Thor is at the center of the trailer, warning the other superheroes about Doom\u2019s threat. It also shows Thor reuniting with Chris Evans\u2019 Steve Rogers, who retired at the end of \u201cAvengers: Endgame.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The rest of the trailer shows how three separate groups of Marvel characters \u2014 the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men \u2014 come together. This includes the Avengers cordially meeting with the Fantastic Four and some of the Avengers facing off with members of the X-Men throughout the trailer.
