Johnson to lead Utah\u2019s largest Pioneer Day parade<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Recent statistics from the Department of Homeland Security show ICE reached a new record last month for the number of individuals booked into an immigration detention facility since the beginning of the Trump administration\u2019s immigration crackdown. <\/p>\n<p>A combined 43,318 people entered an ICE detention center in June, either by an ICE agent or a Customs and Border Protection officer \u2014 the new highest entry number since last December.<\/p>\n<p>As of July 20, ICE was detaining 65,765 people nationwide for the year. We\u2019re hitting single-day records every single day, but what we\u2019ve done is I\u2019ve turned down the temperature of the stove to try to get it correct without boiling over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cWhen I say turn down the temperature, I turn down (the) temperature with you guys, we\u2019re turning up the heat on the streets.
