It\u2019s been almost six years since the death of Alex Trebek, who was the beloved face of \u201cJeopardy!\u201d for more than three decades.<\/p>\n

Trebek\u2019s dedication to \u201cJeopardy!\u201d was so deep that he continued to host the show while receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer. The longtime \u201cJeopardy!\u201d host taped his final episodes just days before his death on Nov. 8, 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalkin\u2019 Football\u201d was the last category on the board, and as Trebek quickly discovered, there was a reason for that: the contestants had minimal knowledge of the sport.<\/p>\n

A clip that went viral showed all three contestants failing to buzz in for a single clue in the category. But what made the moment even better was Trebek, who showed off his dry wit in between each moment of silence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can tell you guys are big football fans,\u201d he said after the first clue went over the contestants\u2019 heads.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think we should go to commercial?\u201d he said, following a lack of response on the second clue.<\/p>\n

Following Trebek\u2019s death, a clip of Trebek unexpectedly roasting a contestant for her love of \u201cnerd-core hip-hop\u201d went viral.<\/p>\n

Before the contestant started to explain the music genre, Trebek said he had never heard of it and it didn\u2019t \u201csound like fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s very fun,\u201d the contestant responded. \u201cPeople who identify as nerdy, rapping about the things they love \u2014 video games, science-fiction, having a hard time meeting romantic partners \u2026 it\u2019s really catchy and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a brief pause, Trebek responded: \u201cLosers, in other words.\u201d<\/p>\n

A recent \u201cJeopardy!\u201d episode showed winner Burt Thakur becoming emotional after Trebek asked if he had family cheering him on.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s a true story, man,\u201d Thakur said at the end of the episode. \u201cI learned English because of you. And so, my grandfather who raised me \u2015 I\u2019m gonna get tears right now \u2015 I used to sit on his lap and watch you every day. So it\u2019s a pretty special moment. Thank you very much.\u201d<\/p>\n

As host of \u201cJeopardy!\u201d Trebek always remained calm and composed. But during an episode that aired in the fall of 2019 \u2014 a few months after Trebek announced his pancreatic cancer diagnosis \u2014 one moment caught the host off guard.<\/p>\n

In what has arguably become one of the greatest \u201cJeopardy!\u201d moments, a contestant wagered $1,995 of his $2,000 during the final round, only to write the response: \u201cWe love you, Alex.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trebek couldn\u2019t help but get emotional.<\/p>\n
