President Donald Trump and some of the top leaders in his administration met at Camp David on Friday for an open Cabinet meeting to discuss foreign wars in Iran and Ukraine, the anti-weaponization fund and government crackdowns on fraud. <\/p>\n

While talking in \u201ca very, very special room,\u201d as Trump described it, leaders shared updates on events <\/p>\n

The actions of his second term, Trump said, are \u201cgoing to blow my last administration away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iranian forces are \u2018being decimated\u2019 by U.S. attacks<\/h3>\n

Trump said the negotiations with Israel and Iran are \u201ca very complex situation\u201d but also said the goal is \u201cvery simple: (Iran) cannot have a nuclear weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to be nice,\u201d Trump told reporters. \u201cAs nice as you can be, you know, in a situation like that. But, you know, they\u2019re being decimated.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. forces have \u201cgone big\u201d in their attacks on Iran and will continue to do so, Trump said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all gone. Their radar is all gone. Their leaders are all gone. Everything\u2019s all gone. But they\u2019ll fight onward,\u201d the president said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll get weaker. They\u2019ll get a little stronger maybe now, but they\u2019ll get weaker and then they peter out,\u201d he added later.<\/p>\n

Trump referred to the Iranian leaders as \u201ccrazy\u201d and said he is \u201closing faith in them because they do lie and they do misrepresent.\u201d <\/p>\n

Speaking about the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Trump said the U.S. has an understanding with Israel that they are \u201cvery happy about,\u201d and current negotiations mark \u201ca great breakthrough.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cNobody thought that would be possible to disarm Hamas,\u201d he said. \u201cThat shows you how much success we\u2019re having with Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Trump defends anti-weaponization fund<\/h3>\n

Trump addressed the current controversy surrounding his anti-weaponization fund. The disputed fund has stalled the confirmation of Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche due to the pushback of Republican Sens. Thom Tillis and John Cornyn. <\/p>\n

Trump specifically mentioned Cornyn, saying \u201che lost because of me.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI endorsed somebody else. And as soon as I endorsed the other person, the other person became a rocket ship upward. And he lost,\u201d the president said. <\/p>\n

Trump then said Cornyn \u201chas become very angry,\u201d and accused Cornyn of making Blanche \u201ca pawn on this whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though Trump said the fund is dead, he continued to defend it, saying that \u201cthere\u2019s a group of people in this country history will show that were treated like nobody else has ever been treated. So badly, so horribly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to see them compensated for the pain,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Nobody wants to make concessions\u2019 in the Russian-Ukrainian war<\/h3>\n

A deal between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the works, Trump said, but an immediate end to the war is not in sight. <\/p>\n

\u201cNobody wants to make concessions, but they\u2019re both going to have to make some concessions,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

In a recent meeting, Trump spoke with Zelenskyy about ending the war. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think he wants to make a deal and I think Putin wants to make a deal, but there\u2019s a lot of dislike, as you probably noticed,\u201d the president told reporters. <\/p>\n

\u201cI ended eight wars,\u201d Trump added later. \u201cThat was the war I thought would maybe go first, and it really hasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Efforts to eliminate fraud will include \u2018things that people aren\u2019t going to believe\u2019<\/h3>\n

Vice President JD Vance, who leads the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, said as of Friday, the task force has identified $230 billion of fraudulent spending, $56 billion of which has been halted.<\/p>\n

Vance said the force will \u201cof course\u201d continue their efforts, including 17 new anti-fraud actions expected to add one-third of a billion dollars to the $230 billion total. <\/p>\n

Trump also hinted at coming actions that will include \u2018things that people aren\u2019t going to believe.”<\/p>\n

\u201cBillions of dollars is being recovered,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd you haven\u2019t seen anything yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
