Davis Darts’ Bode Sparrow had a busy recruitment period. He held offers from over two dozen Power Four schools and received significant attention from college coaches during a trip to Hawai’i.

Sparrow narrowed down his choice to four schools in May: Oklahoma, Oregon, BYU and Utah.
Finally, the anticipation is over. Sparrow announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Friday.
Sparrow is listed as a four-star recruit on both 247Sports and ESPN. He is also the highest-rated recruit in the state, and is listed as the seventh-best “athlete” in the 2027 class on 247Sports.

The 6-foot-2 senior was one of the best two-way players in the state last season. As a receiver, Sparrow averaged 102 receiving yards per game. He totaled 1,218 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.
Throughout his first three years of high school, Sparrow has totaled 42 receiving touchdowns. That 42-touchdown mark is already seventh best in state history, and he has another year to keep rising in the ranks.
He was also elite in the secondary for Davis. Sparrow tied for second in the state with seven interceptions on the year, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also earned Deseret News 2026 6A Player of the Year honors in his junior season.
