The 3A boys golf regular season came to a close Monday with the final region tournament of the season; Now the focus shifts to Carbon Country Club Golf Course in Price next Wednesday and Thursday for the 3A state tournament.

Morgan, Carbon and Juab won their respective region championships and will be among the contenders for the state title. Morgan is the defending state champion.
Morgan finished with the lowest regular-season scoring average in 3A with a 280.5, roughly 20 strokes fewer than both Carbon and Juab.

The region medalists in 3A were Morgan’s Jace Benson, Carbon’s Levi King and Juab’s Crue Cowan. Benson and King both repeated as region medalists.
Benson finished with the lowest scoring average in 3A with a 67.6, followed by teammate Caleb Rees with a 69.9. They were the only two 3A golfers who averaged in the 60s.
