With a total team score of 583, the Trojans claimed the title for the second consecutive year. Morgan was never really in jeopardy, winning the title by 12 strokes over Carbon. Finishing in third was Juab with a total score of 606.
While the Trojans had several stellar performances throughout the course of the tournament, it was Jace Brown who finished on top, shooting back-to-back 69s to finish two-under for the tournament and take home the individual state championship.
Finishing two shots back was Carbon’s Dayton King. Playing on his home course, King put the pressure on Brown throughout the entire final round, shooting two-under for the day. King’s strong performance kept the individual title race competitive, creating an exciting finish down the stretch.

But Brown remained composed and didn’t let the pressure of the moment get to him. After shooting 1-over on the front nine and allowing King to close the gap, Brown delivered a roaring finish with three straight birdies to close out the tournament and grab the victory.
Morgan had a stacked team that delivered throughout the tournament, with three players finishing in the top five and four in the top 10. In addition to Brown, Braxton Telford finished in sole possession of fourth place with an overall tournament score of +6.
After shooting a disappointing 6-over 76 to start the tournament, Caleb Reese had a nice bounceback round Thursday with a 1-over 71 to finish tied for fifth. Mo Hallsten also had a respectable performance in the tournament, shooting 8-over par and finishing in a tie for seventh as the Trojans’ depth played a major role in securing another state title.
