The 6A boys golf regular season came to a close this Wednesday with the final region tournaments of the season. The focus now shifts to the state tournament at Talons Cove in Saratoga Springs next Monday and Tuesday where Corner Canyon will be chasing a fourth straight state championship.

Farmington, Bingham and Lehi won their respective region championships and will be among the contenders hoping to dethrone the Chargers.
Farmington enjoyed the low season average in 6A this season with a 276.4, followed by Lehi’s 279.3. Weber, Davis, Lone Peak and Lehi all had an average within nine strokes of Farmington’s state-best 276, which should make for a competitive state tourney.

The three region medalists in 6A are Weber’s Austin Bybee, Riverton’s Lincoln Judd and corner Canyon’s Drew Wilson.
Wilson had the low stroke average in 6A this season with a 65.8. In fact, the top four stroke averages in 6A belonged to Region 3 golfers. After Wilson’s 65.8, they were Lone Peak’s Blake Brown (66.8), Lehi’s Crue Harward (67.0) and Lone Peak’s Ryder Huish (67.2).

Weber’s Bybee checks in at No. 5 with a 68.1 average.
