Temple Square has three new statues of Jesus Christ, and two more will be added in coming weeks at the religious site in Salt Lake City.

Each statue depicts Christ in a scene from the Bible.
The three recently added statues are:
- Jesus Christ with the Woman at the Well (John 4)
- Jesus Christ and Mary at the Tomb (John 20)
- Jesus Christ Ordains Apostles (Mark 3)
Crews installed the statues at the 10-acre historic landmark on July 15 and 16.
The two statues to be added soon are:
- Jesus Christ with Mary and Martha (Luke 10)
- Jesus Christ Blessing the Children (Mark 10)
The new statues are part of the new landscaping on the Temple Square grounds, which is part of the renovation of the Salt Lake Temple.
The temple renovation began in 2020 and will be completed this fall. Free public tours will be available from April 5 through Oct. 1, 2027. Reservations open on Sept. 1, 2026.
These five statues will bring the total of new statues at Temple Square to 12.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also recently restored Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthood statues and the Seagull Monument.

The church opened a new Temple Square Visitors’ Center in April. The center includes replica rooms of Latter-day Saints temples to help visitors who miss next year’s open house tours the opportunity to experience the inside of a temple.
Church leaders said the new statues invite all people to learn about Jesus Christ and find moments of peace, reflection and inspiration.
